I can see in our future, attending a Journey concert together, the boy and I. Oh yes. I see it plain as day. It's a DATE!! WOO HOO!!
So now he's hooked up with some tunage and a downloadable card with The Essential Journey CD also, that he can then add to the MP3 player. I think that's pretty dang cool myself. I have one of these MP3 players for me, too, but I can't even figure out how to turn down the volume. These new gadgets are just too complicated for an old fart like me I guess.
Anyway, here are Laurie's other kids....this is Emily and her boyfriend Randy...she's 17. He gave her a promise ring for Christmas, a real diamond even, and the word LOVE inscribed on it. I thought that was very sweet....but he'd better TALK TO THE HAND when it comes to anything more than getting to "first base" with "my" kid!! hehehehehe She is into "Happy Bunny" so I got her a couple sweatshirts and some socks and pajama pants with Happy Bunny on them, along with a purse, a CD, and some lip glosses so she can at least kiss her boyfriend...I may be overprotective, but I'm not a prude!!
And this one is of Laurie and I together. We've been best friends since the age of 15 when we shared a locker together. Her husband Jeff is sitting on the couch behind us. I think of Laurie's kids as partly mine too, so I try to be a good "Aunt Becky" as often as possible.
Oh, wait, I should also add a photo of my other best friend from high school & college, Annette.
Here's one of Annette and I together:
I may not have a LOT of friends, but the few that I do have, I've known forever! We're all connected on Facebook now too, which is very cool. I like seeing some of those old high school faces...it's nice to keep in touch.
I'll have to find photos of my friend Barbara too, and add them here soon. She lives in Baltimore and I've known her since the age of 9. So yeah, once you're my buddy in life, you're my buddy forever!
Bye for now. Love, Becky
