Pete and his son Nate are going to be here in a few minutes. They've been driving since about 6 p.m. tonight to get here to my place in DC. The moving truck (24 foot long) is parked outside my front door, with the ramp extended to my front steps, ready to be loaded. I've been packing with a fury all day long, I swear if I were in a cartoon, it would be a blur of newspaper, tape and boxes flying through the air...up and down the stairs, back and forth trying to get as much done as I possibly can before they get here.
We will be up rather late tonight, loading some things into the truck, but soon we'll all have to get some sleep. Tomorrow is the big moving day. We'll all get up early and hopefully be out of here by noon. Then it's a four hour ride in the car with Sassy to my new home in Pittsburgh. Once we get there, we'll have to bust our butts to unload everything as quickly as possible, then return the truck, and be on our way to Michigan super early on Saturday. This is going to be a whirlwind trip, but at least I'll have SOME down time riding in the car, I can sleep a little maybe!
Pete decided that we're going to take HIS car to Michigan, it's a silver Saturn 4-door, so we'll probably go to my mom and sister's house first...
Gotta go...they are here now. See you all very soon!!!
