Michigan weekend wedding

Hey Ya'll,

Here's the scoop for the wedding weekend in Detroit...

1. We are leaving Saturday morning, arriving sometime in the early afternoon to our hotel.

2. It's a pet-friendly hotel, so we will most likely bring Sassy because our pet sitter fell through.

3. There is a dinner scheduled at 6:30 p.m. that we'll have to go to, so I don't think we'll have much time between arriving, showering and getting ready and finding our way to the dinner to really go anywhere.

4. Not sure how long the dinner will take, but I'm HOPING we can practice the music for the wedding afterwards, just to make sure I'm playing it right on my flute. Of course, with all the driving, Pete and I will be pooped and will want to go to bed fairly early too.

5. Sunday, the wedding is scheduled for later in the afternoon. Not sure what's going on for the morning, which is when we THOUGHT we might be able to drive over to Muskegon to see everybody for a little while. I just don't think that's going to be possible though.

6. So we would like to invite YA'LL to drive over to see US in the Detroit area, and we're staying at the Red Roof Inn in Southfield, so you can come there to visit. Call me on my cell phone or send me an email before Saturday if you think you might want to travel over to see us, and I'll give you specific directions.

So, that's the scoop. We will attend the wedding and reception Sunday afternoon and evening, and then drive back Monday morning to Pittsburgh. It's about a 5 hour drive for us to Detroit.

We're both sorry that it's such a whirlwind weekend again, but we really do hope you might actually be able to drive over to say hi while we're there. If not, we'll just plan another visit when we can spend a little more time hanging out with everybody.
