Pete performs in a play!

Pete loves to perform in plays. He was just in one this past week, entitled "I'm Sorry, the Bridge is Out, You'll Have to Spend the Night," which was written by the same guy who wrote the Monster Mash song.  It's a spoof really, but funny, where a young couple's car breaks down in front of the castle, and Dr. Frankenstein invites them to stay the night, and of course Dracula, Igor, the wherewolf, and the Mummy are also roaming about, causing havoc.  It's quite funny when you see the Frankenstein monster too, because that part was played by Nathan, Pete's real life son!  It was a hoot!  Pete's kids came down from NY to see the play this weekend also.  Here are some photos.

The first one is of "Igor" and "Dr. Frankenstein" (Pete) talking to the young couple who just arrived at the castle.

This is Pete talking to Dracula and Igor in the background...

And this is Pete with his son, Nate, who played the Frankenstein monster! He had it easy though, all he had to do was grunt a little, be led around, and do a couple of little dances...it was funny!  Pete was the main character so he had the most lines to memorize.  He loved it though!

There's Igor, Nate (the monster) and Pete, dancing and singing together. Sorry the photos are a bit blurry, I was the one taking them and I guess my hands were shaky. Must be Alzheimers.

And here, they start to do the experiment of taking out the young man's brain to put into the monster's head!
The whole play was very cute, and funny, and everybody had a blast!

And this is the whole cast, lining up at the end, to give everyone a bow...the mummy's servant is at the far left, the wherewolf, then the wherewolf's mom, Igor, Pete (Dr. Frankenstein) and the young couple...Dracula was there too, with his "Draculettes" and wife "Natasha." Very cute play!

The fans in the audience loved it! This is Pete's family, his kids from NY who came to visit us this past weekend.  To the far left is Justin, who is Pete's son-in-law, married to Sybil (Pete's daughter) who is in the center. Between Justin and Sybil is Justin's friend Krow, to the right of Sybil is their neice, Anna, and Pete's stepdaughter Heather is on the far right. Pete has 2 sons also, Nate (who plays the monster), and Daniel, who lives in NY also.

And finally they all take a bow!

And the play was a rousing success!  They even had a couple of news articles in the local paper about it, with their photo.  Pete has a blast doing plays, he's been doing them for a couple years now.  He'll soon be in another one, the Christmas Carol (a spin-off of it, tweaked like this one for Halloween was).  So, that's the scoop from our neck of the woods!  We're going to a Halloween party next weekend, Pete has the funniest costume EVER so I'm going along with it...but I will surprise everyone with photos after next weekend, no hints! You'll just have to wait and see it for yourself!  It's hilarious!

Bye for now. Love, Becky and Pete
