David Byrne and Michael Cavanaugh in concert

Last weekend, Pete took me out to see two concerts...he's a big fan of concerts...so on Friday night he took me to see David Byrne...you know, the guy who was once the lead singer of "Talking Heads" in the 1980's.  One of my favorite songs he does, is actually a remake of Al Green's "Take Me to the River."  Anyway, so we saw him, and it was very cool.

Then, on Saturday night we had tickets to the symphony (Pete has season tickets so he goes to these a lot). This time there was a performer playing along with the symphony, and it was Michael Cavanaugh---he was the lead performer in the Billy Joel Broadway play "Movin' Out." He sang songs of Billy Joel, and other rock and roll songs too, it was very cool.  We had a great time.

In fact, after the concert, we stood in line to meet him in person, and he signed our tickets and our programs, and then he let me have my picture taken with him too.  Cool guy.  I like him a lot!  It was a very cool concert.

Anyway, it was a fun weekend.  We've also started to work out, going to Pete's gym after work and on weekends. I'm hoping that we lose some weight and look sexy hot for the new year!

Well that's the news for now. We're gearing up for Thanksgiving, and I'm already doing the Xmas shopping.  In fact, I'll be mailing my sister Cathy's package next weekend. The rest of ya will have to wait until it gets closer to Xmas!!
