General Wedding Information for weekend

To all Bridal Party Members, Family and Friends attending our wedding:

QUESTIONS: Does anyone need driving directions emailed to you? Do you all have shoes for the ceremony? Does anybody want to add themselves to the list to get your nails and hair and makeup done? Did you pack your bathing suit and beach towel? Has everyone arranged their hotel? Can I help with anything? Let me know if there are any questions or concerns! Here are some FAQ's...

1. Yes, you get free hot breakfast at Comfort Inn each morning, from 6:00-9:00 a.m. I believe.
2. Yes, we will have a shuttle to and from our house and the wedding site (which is a block away), both on Saturday and on Sunday.
3. We can provide maps and driving directions and there will also be street signs along the way with Gilligan on them!
4. We also have a lot of other stuff planned....read on!!

Friday July 16th:

If there are people here in the early afternoon and would like to go to Dave & Busters for some free video and arcade games (and/or dinner at Golden Corral first), let me know ASAP. That was the plan for my "bachelorette party," but I know most of you won't be here until late in the evening. Everybody is welcome, (bring the kids!), so if you DO get here early, you won't have to sit in a hotel room bored to death the whole day. I just need to know how many people might be interested in going so let me know ASAP.

Otherwise, the basic plan for Friday is: I will be home most of the day, making some food items for Saturday's cookout, and for the appetizers that we'll have on Sunday, and some chocolate covered strawberries. Of course, there will be odds and ends to finish as well, so whatever I can't get done before then will have to be worked on during the day.

CALL ME during your trip to let me know how things are going. I will call you right back if it's long distance. Bring at least $20 cash for tolls. The longer you stay on a toll road, (stopping to eat, use the bathroom, get gas in the car, etc)., the more you will pay at the end of the toll road.

Saturday July 17th:

10:00 a.m. -- Any of the bridal party girls (and Carol Stratil, Bonnie Denhof, Sherri Brandt, Bonnie Vargas you are also invited) would like a manicure, pedicure or both, AND if you would like a make-up consultation with Pam (who will try to sell you Mary Kay cosmetics), we are all going to be at Fazio's salon to have that done. They will provide champagne and desserts for us to munch, to make it a fun "girls' time out." I do NOT believe we will have a make-up person for the day of the wedding, like I had hoped, but maybe we can talk Pam into it. If not, just purchase whatever you might like from her on Saturday and be prepared to do it yourself before the wedding. (It will be HOT so minimal make-up, or none, is fine with me).

Saturday 12:00 p.m. - after we are done getting our nails pretty, we'll go back to my house for the rehearsal cookout party. We'll probably start eating at 2:00 or so. The shuttle from the hotel is at 11:30 and 12:00. All out of town guests are invited, as well as the bridal party and their guests. Please let me know if you CAN'T be there for any reason.

Saturday 4:00 p.m. - We're inviting ALL of you to Kennywood Amusement Park (which is very similar to Michigan's Adventure), from 5:00-10:00 p.m. Bring the kids! All Bridal Party members are required to be there, at least for the official rehearsal with the reverend.

The reverend (Ed) and his friend will be there all day already, so we will have our OFFICIAL rehearsal with him when we get there. After that is over, you're free to roam about and have fun doing your own thing!

We will leave from our house. We'll also condense, carpool and follow each other there, and we'll provide maps back to the hotel too, so you won't have to worry about getting lost. It's only 15 minutes away from our house!

The tickets to get in are FREE, so you won't even need any money unless you want souvenirs or food/drinks while you're there. We can provide some bottled water to bring along too.

AFTER KENNYWOOD: If a group of us wants to leave Kennywood earlier than 10:00 p.m., we can take the kids back to the hotel and then go to the casino for some fun, drinks, and gambling. Let me know if you're interested! We won't stay out TOO late though!! I don't want to be a zombie bride the next day!! haha

SUNDAY: 8:00 a.m. - Decoration of Pavilion begins. Those of you who can and will be there to help, please let me know. It should go fairly quickly, for the most part. Please don't bring the kids unless they really want to help decorate, because they won't be able to swim in the pool until after the wedding ceremony ends. (no lifeguards will be there). They CAN, however, swim at the hotel in the indoor pool until it's time to come to the wedding!

SUNDAY: 11:30 a.m. - All Bridal Party members should be getting dressed. I highly recommend bringing all of your dresses and stuff with you if you are coming at 8:00 a.m., since there are showers, lockers and bathrooms already on site. It'll be much easier to change and get ready at the pavilion than going all the way back and forth to the hotel.

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING WITH YOU: Your bridal party dress, undergarments, shoes, make-up, shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer/curling iron, toiletries, bathing suit, beach towel, flip-flops or casual shoes, casual clothing to change into, camera. Bring a plastic bag to put wet bathing suits into also. We will provide bug spray, sun protectant lotion, and various toiletries.

SUNDAY: 12:30 p.m. - Guests start arriving, and will be seated by the ushers, who should be there early. Ceremony begins at 1:00 p.m. The ceremony should conclude by 1:30 p.m. or so, and then appetizers and drinks will be served and the pool will be open! Guests can change clothes and get comfortable.

There will be shuttles arranged to get you back to the hotel later in the evening so you can drink all you want without worrying about driving!

We hope this will be a fun and enjoyable weekend, and even if it rains, (which I am HOPING it won't), we will still enjoy seeing everyone, and spending time with you all. The hotel has an indoor pool too, so rain won't really matter!!

Pete and I will also come to the hotel on Monday morning to have breakfast with everyone before you all leave.

Bye for now. See you all soon. Love, Becky

ps. CALL ME if you have any questions, get lost driving, etc., on your way here. I can call you right back so you won't be charged $$ for the long distance....my number is 412-576-6523.

DRIVE CAREFULLY!!! GET HERE SAFELY!! NO BLOOD OR BROKEN BONES ALLOWED!!
