Pete's costume was easy, as you can see. He was a "chick magnet." So of course I had to go as a chick! You'd THINK that would be an easy costume to find, wouldn't you? But noooo, it wasn't easy to find anything at all, so I had to create the whole thing from scratch.
I found a yellow jacket with a hood at the thrift store, I got some white feather boa's, (because I couldn't find yellow ones), and spray painted them with yellow hairspray...then for the feet, I found large white "cartoon hands," at a Halloween store, and spray painted them with orange hair spray. Then I found some orange fabric, wrapped it around my leg, hot glued it like a stocking, and then glued it to the cartoon hand. Then I found yellow fabric, used some "Stitch Witchery" (hot glue that fuses fabric together) and made a tank dress that I then glued the feathers to...and then of course, I made the beak out of orange construction paper. TAH DAH!! Pretty funny, huh?
Hope you all had a fun Halloween too! Love, Pete and Rebecca
